This is amazing. It's the kind of book cover that would make me want to pick up a book and read it.

This was my favourite of all the WOME cover arts :) Captures exactly how I imagined the pre-traction era to look like: dark, dingy, the taint of the Sixty Minute War much more apparent then during the Traction Era.

I've always respected the new cover art the Mortal Engines series (I even went out and bought the first series again just to have the new art on them), it's an absolute delight to have found this. Thank you very much for putting these up.

I love the art you've done for these books. You have captured the feeling of the books perfectly. I wish the book I bought for Fever Crumb had this as the artwork on it. Is this for the first print or did they just have a different cover in the US?

Thanks.
The excellent American artist Sam Weber did the U.S. version - check out his website; there's some awesome stuff on it.
I get confused as to what's released where and in what format - the original hardback was a double cover with a cut-through in Britain, but I assume it didn't make it across the Atlantic. You'd probably be able to get a cheap copy sent over via amazon or abebooks, but make sure it's the hardback as subsequent editions didn't have the double cover...
