These ones are purely for my own amusement so I don't do them to commission or sell them. I guess if a publisher asked for something similar, they would pay £800/1500, which the going rate for a book cover. It would be less if it was to appear inside a book. They take about 3 days on average.
Many thanks for the Daily Deviation honour, it's much appreciated. Thanks for all the comments; although I can't reply to all individually, it's great to get everyone's input. Thanks also to Warlock, for being an awesome model.
I don't know how rocks could be on each other like that, but it's beautiful, none the less! From the cloudy skies, to the crows flying and the animals hiding underneath the rock, it gives the picture sort of a ominous feeling. The way the dog is posed, makes me feel like it is on some sort of important mission. COMPLETELY AMAZING!
Wow! Congratulations on the DD! You've got an incredible mastery of your tools, and there's a great narrative value in this picture! I see a stone bridge over the river in the background and I can't help but wonder if it's where the dog came from, if it's the gateway between civilization and a more virginal forest
Your work is always precious and amazing to look upon. Warlock reminds me of my uncle's dog, who had a passion for chickens and would escape to "hunt" them...needless to say, he was not too well liked in the village...
